Engaging through directness — curious, quick-minded, willing to say the blunt thing or ask the uncomfortable question. This is how someone engages when they’re more interested in the truth than in being tactful about it.

Reversed

In a nutshell: The bluntness is loud. The listening could catch up.

Same sharp curiosity, but currently more about being right or being heard than actually exchanging information — gossip, or words landing harder than intended. The directness needs a partner: actual listening.
