Reversed

In a nutshell: The calm's there. It's costing more to maintain than usual.

Same composed approach, but currently more effortful — holding it together instead of it coming naturally, or letting the calm slide into detachment instead of genuine steadiness. The mastery’s still in there. It’s just working harder than usual right now.
