Sudden, unwelcome collapse — of a plan, a belief, a structure that looked solid but wasn’t. This is disruptive and it doesn’t ask permission. But whatever’s coming down was standing on a foundation that couldn’t hold anyway. What gets rebuilt after will actually last.

In a nutshell: You can feel it coming before it lands.

Avoiding a collapse that’s coming regardless — delaying the inevitable, or living through the aftermath of a disruption that already happened. Could also mean a near-miss: chaos that almost hit but didn’t, or fear of change that hasn’t materialized yet.
